oh, bb, you should not be surprised by any of that anymore.
The thing is that this is a TV show, and when it comes to television, things change. All the time. On the last minute. They rewrite, and re-do things all the time. And most of the time they just have no idea where they are going, and what they intend to do, specifically. They may know they plan to introduce a new villain, but when, who, how, what — no plan.
Also: What was once the plan, becomes the past, and is replaced a new plan. Then that new plan might be put to “trash”, and replaced with anotehr, new one. And so the story goes.
(I am assuming your post was meant to be amusing. So is mine. Though I also mean it all in a serious way. That’s how network television works. Nothing is certain, nothing is set in stone.)
